The Trumbull Career & Technical Center (TCTC) has announced a partnership with NAPA Auto Parts to create the NAPA Auto Care Apprenticeship Training Program for high schools in the Valley.
Through implementing the new program TCTC's Auto Service Technology program can also offer the opportunity to earn a NAPA Auto Care Certification.
This credential is essential to working for NAPA and is paramount to transitioning into the workforce straight out of high school.
This partnership and the subsequent program came to be when TCTC Auto Service Technology instructor David Beachler reached out to Hometown Auto Parts owner Ron Potyonek, who owns eight NAPA stores in the Valley.
"NAPA is no stranger to partnering with colleges and high schools for technician education," said Beachler. "Through this initiative, NAPA and TCTC are supporting young talent by providing them with a pathway into a fruitful career in the automotive trades, a need we know continues to grow every year."
This new program will also give instructors access to "NAPA Auto Tech" which is a curriculum made for advanced automotive skills training that's being used by NAPA technicians. They will also have access to discounted equipment.
