Hubbard Township Trustees are considering the possibility of a cannabis dispensary in the township.

Hubbard Township Trustee William Coletta tells 21 News that the CEO of medicinal cannabis company TheraTrue Scot Lee would like to bring a cannabis facility to the township.

Lee presented this idea to trustees just before the end of 2024.

While no official location has been set for the potential dispensary, one possible location would be behind the Arby's near Truck World.

Trustees would need to hold another meeting to discuss this matter with Coletta saying a public meeting will be held if the project becomes more of a reality.

This comes after a recent issue in the City of Hubbard when city leaders tried to ban recreational cannabis sales just as ACA Dispensary was preparing to sell recreational products in the city.

This matter was put up for a vote in November of 2024 where residents voted in favor of the dispensary being able to sell recreational cannabis products.
