Taquitos sold at Aldi recalled over metal contamination risk
ALDI is recalling Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos sold in Ohio, Pennsylvania and 29 other states due to potential metal contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The Products affected include 20-oz. carton packages containing "CASA MAMITA CHICKEN & CHEESE TAQUITOS" with Best By Dates 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 printed on the bottom panel. Establishment number "EST. P-40327" on the carton package
The recall was initiated after Bestway Sandwiches notified FSIS that they received consumer complaints about metal being found in the taquitos. One consumer also reported a dental injury from the product.
Those who purchased the affected products are urged not to eat them but throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
