Youngstown police recovered 70 shell casings from three different weapons after two homes were shot up over the weekend.

A man told officers he hit the floor and covered his toddler after shots were fired into his home on Idora Avenue just after 3 a.m. Saturday.

Police found ten bullet holes extending from the home’s living room to the bedroom. Several windows were also shattered.

A woman in a neighboring home was in bed when she said she dove to the ground when a shot went through a bathroom window, landing in a door.

Seventy shell casings in three different calibers were found on the street at Idora and Utilis Avenues.

Neither of the victims said they saw the shooters since they took cover on the floor.
