The westbound and eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Venango and Mercer County have opened back up after a tractor-trailer crash that occurred in the early hours of Saturday.

According to the media release the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) confirmed that the lanes have reopened and the speed reductions have been lifted on the westbound lanes in both I-80 and Interstate 79.

The eastbound lanes are still under a 45 mph speed reduction along with commercial vehicles on the right lane only on both directions of Interstate 80 from the Ohio state line to Exit 45. A speed reduction is also in place on Interstate 79 from Slippery Rock to Edinboro.
