Mahoning and Trumbull Counties placed under winter weather advisories
According to the National Weather Service, Mahoning County and Trumbull County were both placed under a winter weather advisory January 10.
Individuals affected by the advisory may see additional snow accumulation of up to two inches. The advisory will remain in effect until 10 a.m. on January 11.
Anyone travelling during the advisory should plan on slippery road conditions. It is recommended that drivers prepare to slow down and use caution.
The Ohio Department of Transportation and the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission recommend heeding all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.
21 News Stormtracker also recommends that anyone going outside exercises caution when taking the first few steps down stairs, sidewalks or driveways as these surfaces may be icy and slippery, increasing a risk of fall or injury.
