Some folks walking through Mill Creek Park on Thursday may have seen a low flying helicopter flying above the park. Here's why.
According to a post on Mill Creek Metroparks' Facebook page, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA's) Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service (APHIS) was scheduled to conduct an aerial survey via helicopter to assess white-tailed deer numbers across several MetroParks properties including Mill Creek Park.
The survey consisted of sustained daytime helicopter flight in a grid pattern over the survey areas.
