Weekend forecast calls for winter fun
Snow couldn't stay away for too long, our next round of accumulating snow comes late Friday into Saturday.
Steady snow begins between 6 and 8 PM Friday and the steadiest snow will taper off around daybreak, lake effect snow showers will follow. A widespread swath of 2 to 4 inches looks likely across the area by sunrise Saturday with under an inch of new snowfall accumulation throughout the day.
Sunday will feature some sunshine with high temperatures remaining in the upper 20s.
After a break in the action Sunday, more snow looks likely to return Monday afternoon into Monday night with flurries lingering through the middle of the week.
High temperatures could even slide to the upper teens on Tuesday, and they will remain below freezing through at least next weekend.
