The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC) is providing a free online cybersecurity training program thanks to a grant from the Ohio Department of Development.

According to a press release, MCCTC was awarded an Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP) grant, which will be used to fund "Cybersecurity Essentials."

MCCTC Adult Career Center Director Mary Mihalopoulos tells 21 News the school was awarded $498,000. The school will receive a percentage of that based on course enrollment numbers.

If enrollment numbers are met, the school will get $124,500 at minimum.
