Polar chill continues with more snow on the way
Try to limit your time outdoors Thursday morning as wind chill values will be near zero in many locations. High temperatures will only rise into the low 20s during the afternoon, but we will see some breaks of sunshine.
Mostly clear skies will stick around this evening with low temperatures plummeting into the single digits. Clouds will quickly build back in Friday morning ahead of an approaching storm system. Snow will arrive by Friday evening and will continue into Saturday AM.
A general 2-4 inches of snow is expected across the area, leading to some travel difficulties on Saturday. A few leftover flurries will be possible Saturday afternoon and evening with temperatures in the upper 20s.
Another round of snow showers and flurries will be possible Sunday night into Monday with high temperatures approaching the freezing mark Monday afternoon. That will be the warmest day of the week, before temperatures drop back into the low 20s for Tuesday and Wednesday.
