The snow will quiet down Wednesday afternoon, and our attention will briefly turn to the coldest mornings of the season, which will be on Thursday and Friday.

On Wednesday, high temperatures will be no better than the low 20s. We will wake up Thursday to air temperatures in the low teens and wind chills in the single digits. Thursday will remain a fridge day, with high temperatures returning to the low 20s and wind chills barely reaching the low teens.

Friday morning will be even colder. With clouds parting overnight and a calm wind, air temperatures could reach closer to zero degrees in some locations, and wind chills will fall below zero for some time as you head out the door.

Snow won't stay away for too long. Our next round of accumulating snow will occur late Friday into Saturday.

There are no signs of temperatures rising above the freezing mark anytime soon, so this could be a stretch that continues through next weekend.
