Warren man convicted of 16 child pornography charges handed indefinite prison sentence
A Warren man who pled guilty to just over half of the 31 charges he faced in a child pornography case learned his fate on Wednesday.
Twenty-one-year-old Tobias Schmucker was sentenced to four to six years in prison after earlier entering a plea to sixteen felony counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.
In July the Trumbull County Grand Jury handed up a 31-count indictment against Schmucker, which included 22 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, and 9 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
According to court records, the alleged offenses occurred three days before Christmas.
A police report says sexually oriented material was found on either a computer or handheld device.
Schmucker has been held in the county jail since he was arrested in mid-June.
