Long time assistant football coach Adam Slopek is in line to become the next head football coach at Springfield.

Per the agenda of school board meeting Wednesday, Slopek is expected to be approved pending BCI/FBI background checks.

He'll replace Sean Guerriero who stepped down after 18 years and is the district's athletic director.
