Papa John's Liberty

An armed robbery at the Papa John’s Pizza shop just before midnight led to a manhunt on Belmont Avenue involving Liberty and Girard Police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and a Youngstown Police Department drone.  The search that lasted until early Friday did not result in any arrests.

Around 6:30 a.m., a Shell gas station on Route 46 in Austintown was robbed by a masked man.

Police aren't sure if the suspect was armed, because he had his hands in his pockets during the robbery.

After that, the Shell along Route 224 and Fairgrounds Blvd. in Canfield was robbed.

A police officer spotted a Black Chevy Blazer later and began to follow it.

State Troopers joined in the chase which led police to snow-covered New Buffalo Road in Beaver Township before the pursuit was broken off.

Officers traced the Blazer to an address on Pasadena Avenue on Youngstown’s Southside and were waiting when it returned to the home.

Another police pursuit ended at nearby Powersdale and Cameron Avenue when the two jumped from the car before they were arrested.

Liberty Police have charged the two with the Papa John's robbery.

Adams is charged with aggravated robbery, and Fairchild is accused of complicity.
