With just days to go before the scheduled closing date, the clock is ticking for current Sharon Regional Medical Center employees to potentially need to secure a new job.

Some of those employees have turned to UPMC Horizon in the nearby City of Farrell with the hospital reporting an influx in candidates interested in joining the hospital's staff at its recent career fair event December 18.

Because of this influx in interested candidates, UPMC Horizon added another career fair event for Wednesday, January 8.

A representative for UPMC Horizon confirmed with 21 News that the potential closure of Sharon Regional is a contributing factor to this influx of candidates.

Participants at January 8's event can participate in on-the-spot interviews with the opportunity to be hired by UPMC.
