Two suspects are under arrest following a robbery spree in Trumbull and Mahoning Counties that spurred manhunts and police pursuits.

Two men, whose names have not yet been released, were arrested after foot chases near Powersdale and Cameron Avenue where they abandoned a Chevy Trailblazer at around 8 a.m. Friday.  Police used a taser on one of the suspects.

It’s believed that the arrests are related to overnight robberies in Liberty and Austintown Townships, as well as the City of Canfield.

Papa John's Liberty

An armed robbery at the Papa John’s Pizza shop just before midnight led to a manhunt on Belmont Avenue involving Liberty and Girard Police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and a Youngstown Police Department drone.  The search that lasted until early Friday did not result in any arrests.

Around 6:30 a.m., a Shell gas station on Route 46 in Austintown was robbed by a masked man.

Police aren't sure if the suspect was armed, because he had his hands in his pockets during the robbery.

After that, the Shell along Route 224 and Fairgrounds Blvd. in Canfield was robbed.

A police officer spotted a Black Chevy Blazer later and began to follow it.

State Troopers joined in the chase which led police to snow-covered New Buffalo Road in Beaver Township before the pursuit was broken off.

Officers traced the Blazer to an address on Pasadena Avenue on Youngstown’s Southside and were waiting when it returned to the home.

Another chase got underway.  This time it ended at nearby Powersdale and Cameron Avenue when the two jumped from the car before they were arrested.

One suspect was taken to Canfield Police headquarters for questioning. The other suspect was taken away in an ambulance.

Liberty Police tells 21 News that two people have been charged in connection with the Papa John's robbery.

Thirty-three-year-old Shane Adams is charged with aggravated robbery.  Tylin Fairchild, 31, is charged with complicity.
