57-year-old Andrew Reedy was released from the hospital Thursday and went straight to Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for his arraignment on charges of killing 57-year-old Jane Payton.

Reedy pleaded not guilty to the charges of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary, both with firearm specifications in Judge Ronald Rice's courtroom.

The charges stem from a long standoff at a home on Lucy Street in Masury on Friday, December 20, that claimed the life of 57-year-old Jane Payton, who Reedy had previously dated.

911 audio revealed that Payton had Reedy evicted from the home, but he was back on the property.

Officers forced entry into the home where they found Payton dead from a gunshot wound. Officers then heard another gunshot fired, causing them to go back outside to wait for backup.

Reedy was hospitalized with a gunshot wound on his face, which is believed to have been self-inflicted.

There was no bond set for Reedy and he is expected to be back in for a pretrial hearing at 1:30 pm on January 14.
