Braga Fresh is recalling a single production lot of 12-ounce bags of Marketside Broccoli florets sold at Walmart Stores due to the potential for Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The recalled product has a “Best If Used By” date of Dec. 10, 2024, and a lot code of BFFG327A6 printed on the front of the bag. The UPC code is 6 81131 32884 5.

The broccoli was sold at Walmart Stores in 20 states including Ohio, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming

The recall was initiated after a random sample collected by Texas Health & Human Services from a Texas Walmart store tested positive for Listeria.

Listeria can cause serious infections in young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Pregnant women may experience miscarriages and stillbirths.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Consumers who have purchased this product should not consume it and discard it immediately.

This recall affects only this specific lot of Marketside Broccoli Florets. Other Marketside or Braga Fresh products are not affected.
