Police have arrested a man who was just 14 years old when authorities say he shot a woman during an attempted robbery outside her Youngstown home.

Boardman Police picked up 22-year-old Jhamiere Mann Clarke along Southern Boulevard on Monday after pulling over a car for a traffic violation following a brief chase.

Clarke was wanted by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction’s Adult Parole Authority for violating the conditions of his supervision.

An online notice said Clarke should be considered dangerous and possibly armed.

Clarke is on parole after being released from prison earlier this year, where he was serving a seven-year sentence for the February 2017 shooting of a 57-year-old woman during a robbery attempt in the driveway of her Powersdale Avenue.

The victim, who was shot three times in the face and arm, faced a long recovery.

Although Clarke was 14 years old at the time of the crime, he was charged as an adult with attempted murder, aggravated robbery, and felonious assault.

Clarke pleaded guilty to attempted murder, and the other charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal.

As of Tuesday, Clarke remained in the Mahoning County Jail.
