Grove City Police were originally dispatched to a restaurant on December 27 on West Main Street in Grove City, PA, for a report of a possible stolen vehicle. When officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle fled.

Police say that the vehicle wrecked off of Pinchalong Rd, and the occupants of the car fled on foot into the woods. Mercer State Police were called to assist in finding the occupants.

Once found a little after noon, the driver of the vehicle was later identified as Brandon Barger, 28, from Somerset, PA. The passenger was identified as Mazie Knight, 21, from Spartansburg, PA.

Barger was arrested on numerous warrants and was charged with flight to avoid apprehension, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and numerous drug charges. 

Knight was arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding, flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest, and numerous drug charges.

Both individuals were taken to Mercer County Jail and later arraigned by DJ Martwinski.
