Statewide 'endangered missing adult' alert for Champion woman cancelled
In an updated Facebook post, the Champion Township Police Department said they have located the Champion township woman at the center of a statewide 'endangered missing adult" alert.
About 3 p.m. on Monday, the alert was issued for 88-year-old Ella Farmer. By 5 p.m. the police department had located Farmer and updated their post by saying, "This evening, at 17:00 hours Ella was located. We are saddened to announce she was not located in time. Please keep her family in your prayers as we give our deepest condolences."
The Champion Township Police Department had issued a statewide 'endangered missing adult' alert after Farmer walked away from her residence and didn't return.
Farmer was described as having a difficult time walking, and law enforcement was concerned for her safety.
They described on a Facebook post that she had no previous history of wandering off.
