Local softball coach Mike Kernan has been on the diamond for more than twenty years, and his efforts have earned him a place in the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Kernan is the current coach at Canfield and was previously at Ursuline. He has a record of 424-155 and won the Division II State Championship in 2024. His record with the Cardinals is 51-6-2 and was 373-149 leading the Irish.

He's won 19 sectional championships, 10 district crowns, and was state runner up in 2009 and has 20 of 21 winning seasons.

The induction ceremony is January 17. 2025 at the Easton Hilton, Columbus.
