When the Youngstown State football team opens spring practice in 2025, it will have at least four new assistant coaches.

Offensive Coordinator Troy Rothenbuhler, cornerbacks coach Christian Dukes, wide receivers coach Jelani Berassa & running backs coach Jeremy Larkin all re, andrtedly are moving on.are all reportedly leaving

Dukes is heading to Central Michigan, Berassa to Florida International & Larkin to Massachusetts.

The Penguins have lost nine assistant coaches since the end of the 2022 season.

The Penguin's home opener, Thursday, August 28, against Mercyhurst, kicks off at 6:00 p.m.
