Suspect indicted in connection with fatal Masury standoff
The suspect in a standoff that claimed the life of a deadly standoff that lasted nearly 24 hours in Masury has been indicted.
According to court records, 57-year-old Andrew Reedy was indicted on one count of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary both with firearm specifications.
The charges stem from a standoff at a home on Lucy Street in Masury on Friday, December 20 that claimed the life of 57-year-old Jane Payton, who Reedy had previously dated.
911 audio revealed that Payton had Reedy evicted from the home, but he was back on the property.
Eventually, officers forced entry into the home where they found Payton dead from a gunshot wound. Officers then heard another gunshot fired causing them to go back outside to wait for backup.
Police say Reedy had a gunshot wound on his face, which is believed to have been self-inflicted. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries where he is under 24-hour police supervision.
Reedy will be arraigned once he's discharged from the hospital, but court records do not show an arraignment date at this time.
