Raindrops could dampen the final weekend of the year
Skies will turn mostly cloudy for Friday afternoon, but the clouds will not stop our temperatures from climbing into the upper 40s. Temperatures will briefly fall into the low 40s this evening before rising overnight as a warm front crosses the region.
Scattered showers will also arrive this evening, and the chance for a few raindrops will continue into early Saturday. A shower or two cannot be ruled out tomorrow, but there will be more dry time than not. High temperatures on Saturday will be reminiscent of mid-April, reaching the upper 50s.
Rain chances will ramp back up Saturday night, mainly after midnight. High temperatures will again reach the upper 50s on Sunday, but periods of rain will prevent you from getting outside and enjoying the milder air.
Showers will taper off early Monday morning, and clouds will decrease Monday afternoon. Another round of showers will arrive for New Year's Eve, with temperatures still above average in the upper 40s.
More seasonable air will return on the first day of the new year. Some snow showers will be possible on Wednesday and Thursday.
