After a cold but bright Sunday afternoon, clouds will return to the Valley on Monday, especially during the second half of the day. A fast-moving weather system will likely spread some wet snow into eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania by late Monday evening; a slushy accumulation of up to an inch or two will be possible in many areas. We expect some patchy drizzle later Monday night into parts of Tuesday.
The weather will be uneventful for the bulk of both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. A little wet weather could return to the Valley before Wednesday, but most of the day looks cloudy and dry. Some sunshine is forecast for Thursday and Friday.
The warming trend after Christmas will continue into the final weekend of 2024.
