Lake effect snow will not be a concern on Sunday, but the cold still will be. High temperatures will struggle to get out of the mid-20s with wind chills in the teens. Skies will be mostly cloudy for much of the day, with a few breaks of sunshine possible this afternoon.

Skies will briefly clear out overnight as temperatures fall into the mid-teens. Clouds will start to build back in by midday on Monday as our next storm system starts to approach from the west.

A period of wet snow or a wintry mix will arrive just after sunset before transitioning over to rain showers by Tuesday morning. A coating of snow could lead to slick travel for Christmas Eve morning. Tuesday afternoon will be quieter with cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 30s.

Christmas Day is looking mainly cloudy and quiet. A stray shower cannot be completely ruled out, but we should stay dry for most of the day with high temperatures in the upper 30s. Highs will jump into the 40s in the days following the holiday.
