1999: The body of Harry London, 75, missing since his wife, Dorothy, 74, was found murdered in their Hubbard home a week earlier, is found in the Mahoning River near downtown Youngstown. Two men are being held without bond on murder charges.
An ordinance allowing Salem to secede from Perry Township is set aside, but proponents say the issue isn't dead.
General Motors Corp. announces it has reached a deal to market a civilian version of the Hummer, the military's tank-like all-terrain vehicle.
