The Jewish Community Center in Youngstown announced in a press release that they would be displaying a nine-foot tall hanukkiah, or menorah, in front of the building located on 505 Gypsy Lane.

The nine-foot tall menorah features nine branches that each house a candle.

The middle candle, called the shamas, is used to light the other candles throughout Hanukkah.

Hanukkah will begin this year at sundown on December 25 and will go until January 2.

This celebration includes a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods.
