A Columbiana County Grand Jury has indicted a man on charges of aggravated murder, murder, intimidation of a witness, and firearm specifications in the shooting death of Robert E. Herron, 30, of Wellsville on September 9.
The Columbiana County Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino and Wellsville Police Chief Ed Wilson announced that 34-year-old Jeno L. Wall — aka: “Mally” — of Steubenville was indicted in the shooting death of 30-year-old Herron of Wellsville.
On September 9, officers from the Wellsville Police Department responded to a call of possible shots fired on 10th Street in the city just after 11:30 pm. At the time, it was reported that an individual overheard an argument followed by a gunshot. Officers found Herron fatally wounded behind a residential garage.
Herron was taken to the hospital, where he died the next day.
Wall is incarcerated on a parole violation through Jefferson County. The Prosecutor’s Office will be requesting a $1 million bond for the murder case.
