A Youngstown man plead guilty on December 16 to an amended charge of rape in the first degree, listed in the Ohio Revised Code in Section 2907.02 as: "No person shall engage in sexual conduct with another when the offender purposely compels the other people to submit by force or threat of force."

Daniel Fleischer, a 42-year-old man, plead guilty according to Courtroom #5 of the Mahoning County Common Courts.

He was sentenced on Wednesday to five years compounded onto his already existing sentence for the amended charge of rape.

Fleischer is already serving a 37-year federal prison sentence in connection to sex crimes.

He made motion September 23 to suppress evidence presented to the court regarding the validity of the search warrant that led to the collection of evidence used in his case.

Ultimately, the motion was overruled by the Court and the warrant was validated.
