The Polar Plunge is returning to Mosquito Lake January 18, 2025 for participants who have raised or donated at least $100 to take the dive.

Participants may fundraise the $100 needed to participate in the plunge individually, as a team or "plunge my way" for those who are unable to attend in person at the plunge locations.
There are special incentives to donating or fundraising in different tiers, including:
Minimum $100 fundraised or donated
Junior Plungers (16 and under): Special 2025 Polar Plunge T-shirt
All other participants: Special 2025 Polar Plunge T-shirt
Minimum $300 fundraised or donated
All participants: Exclusive Polar Plunge beanie

The Polar Plunge funds raised or donated benefit Special Olympics Ohio, including its "year-round sports training and competition, health education and leadership program for 20,000 Special Olympics Ohio athletes".
According to the Special Olympics Ohio website, its mission is as follows:
"Through our shared experience and love of sports, Special Olympics Ohio creates a sense of connectedness in an inclusive culture. We provide a space for individuals, families and community partners to come together as we focus on the courage, strength and skill of athletes."
