A pizza shop in Hubbard has no timeframe on when they could possibly reopen following a fire Sunday night.

First calls for the blaze went out just before 6 p.m. for flames and smoke at Hubbard Pizza Works in the 400 block of North Main Street.

It's unclear how the fire began but heavy smoke and flames were spotted by a 21 News employee passing by.

The Eagle Joint Fire District, Brookfield, Farrell, Hubbard Township, Liberty and Vienna Fire Departments were all on scene.

Officials say the fire likely began in the kitchen but the cause is still under investigation.

The building suffered damage but isn't a total loss.

No injuries were reported.

In a statement released on the Restaurant's Facebook page, owner Bill Siwicki says he has no details on when the restaurant could reopen or anything else at this time.

Siwicki went on to thank staff for keeping each other safe and following proper protocol during the fire. The full statement can be found below.

"To say that last night was tragic and a tragedy cannot begin to describe the hurt we are feeling this morning. There are a handful of us who have put in over 3 decades of dedication to our craft to bring Hubbard great pizza. In the meantime we have been able to give back and become such an amazing part of an amazing town."

"We don't know details on when we can re-open or basically anything at this point."

"Thank you to my amazing team, we supported each other with love and compassion last night. Everyone was safe and the team that was working did an AMAZING job. They followed every protocol to keep everyone safe and save lives 1st!"

"Please keep your comments kind, this was tragic and affects our lives work."
