One dead, two stable after accident involving gas wood splitter in Slippery Rock Township
The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. Friday when 85-year-old Donald Robinson was operating the gas wood splitter in his garage with the garage door closed.
One person is dead and two more are in stable condition after an accident involving a gasoline wood splitter in Slippery Rock Township Friday afternoon.
According to Lawrence County PSP, the accident happened around 12:45 p.m. Friday when 85-year-old Donald Robinson was operating the gas wood splitter in his garage with the garage door closed.
When Robinson's wife went out to check on him, she found him unconscious on the floor of the garage.
Crews with the Slippery Rock Fire Department responded to the scene where Robinson was pronounced dead. Police say Robinson's wife and son were in the garage as well and were unresponsive.
Robinson's wife and son were both taken to the hospital where they are said to be in stable condition.
