Troopers from the Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating after a single-vehicle fatal crash Friday night in Columbiana County.

The crash happened around 7:10 PM on State Route 39 at the intersection of State Route 164 in Washington Township.

Troopers say 28-year-old Dalton Cunningham of Salineville was driving on State Route 39 when his vehicle went left of center, hitting a traffic sign.  It then went onto State Route 164 before going off the side of the road hitting an embankment and a tree.

Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene by the Columbiana County coroner.  Troopers say Cunningham was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.  The crash remains under investigation.
