Youngstown man arrested, charged with making terroristic threats to City Hall
A Youngstown man was arrested on Monday for allegedly calling Youngstown City Hall and threatening to bomb the building.
Charles Brewer, 64, was charged with a felony count of terroristic threats concerning the alleged bomb threats.
According to the police report, an off-duty police officer was working security in the city hall when the call was made on November 29.
Brewer had allegedly called city hall to report a serious rodent problem at his home that had been ongoing for 6 months.
The report says that Brewer allegedly made threats to blow the city hall up and "fill body bags with government officials" if no one contacted him by Tuesday, December 10.
According to the police report, officers made a trip to Brewer's house on the 2800 block of McGuffey Road in Youngstown on November 29 to speak to him.
He was arrested on Monday and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 18.
