Traffic is beginning to move again along Interstate 80 from Ohio into Pennsylvania.

The Thursday morning commute gave driver's headaches after several accidents along I-80 between the state line and the Mercer exit.

A tractor trailer crash not far from the state line kept traffic at a standstill for hours.

At one point, ODOT used plows to block the interchange in Hubbard to prevent traffic from backing up more.

By 8:30 a.m., traffic was starting to move again.

Due to the severity of the winter weather, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reduced the speed limit to 45 mph on Interstate 80 from the Ohio state line in Mercer County to Exit 42 (Route 38, Emlenton) in Venango County, and Interstate 79 from the Interstate 80 interchange in Mercer County to Exit 154 (Route 198, Conneautville/Saegertown in Crawford County.

While the speed restriction is in place, commercial vehicles can only travel in the right lane.
