The Mahoning County, Trumbull County and Columbiana County Auditors want to remind dog owners that the time to renew dog licenses is here, and the licenses are for sale.

All dogs older than three months are required to be licensed according to the Ohio Revised Code, Title 9, Section 955.01. 

The Mahoning County Auditors Office

As stated on the Mahoning County Auditor website, dog licenses can be renewed between December 1 through February 29, 2025.

Licenses renewed during this time will be $20, but any renewals made after the deadline of February 28 will be $40.

A 3-year license tag can be purchased for $60.

A 10-year, or life-time license tag can also be purchased for $200.

Renewals can be made online at the Mahoning County Auditors renewal website.

Renewals may also be made by the agents listed in a PDF released by the Mahoning County Auditors Office. 

The Trumbull County Auditors Office

The Trumbull County renewal period is from December 1 through January 31, 2025 to renew dog licenses. 

Applications for renewal after January 31 will be subject to a late penalty fee. 

A 1-year license may be purchased online at the Trumbull County Dog Licensing website for $18 with a fee of $2.25, bringing the total to $20.25

3-year and life-time licenses may also be purchased at the Auditor's office at 160 High St. NW, Warren, OH.

Renewals may also be made by the vendors listed in a PDF released by the Trumbull County Auditors Office. 

The Columbiana County Auditors Office

The Columbiana County renewal period is taking place between December 1 to January 31, 2025. 

Applications for a renewal after January 31 will be subject to a late penalty fee. 

A 1-year license may be purchased for $12, or for $14 online with a $2 service fee. 

3-year license tags may be purchased for $36, or for $39.25 online with a $3.25 service fee. 

Life-time license tags may also be purchased for $120, or for $128 online with a $8 service fee. 

Renewals are preferably made through the mail or online at the Columbiana County Dog Licensing website. 

Renewals may also be made by the vendors listed in a PDF released by the Columbiana County Auditors Office.

The vendors provide licenses from December 1 to January 31 only, and charge $12.75 per license.
