Honda is recalling approximately 205,760 Passport and Pilot SUVs from model years 2023-2024 (Passport) and 2023-2025 (Pilot) due to a potential fuel leak issue, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on November 27, 2024.
The issue stems from a potential separation between the fuel filler neck tube and the fuel filler pipe, which could allow fuel to leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire, according to NHTSA.
"This recall involves certain 2023-2024 Passport and 2023-2025 Pilot vehicles," the NHTSA stated. "The fuel filler neck tube and fuel filler pipe may separate, allowing fuel to leak."
Honda will notify owners by mail starting January 6, 2025. Dealers will inspect and repair the fuel filler neck tube and pipe as necessary, free of charge.
