A Mercer County woman had a close call when heading home along Longview Road near Mercer West Middlesex Road Thursday morning.

Shyann Poling was driving near West Middlesex in her vehicle along the snow-covered road that runs beside Interstate 80 westbound lanes when she saw the trees start moving above, followed by headlights and a semi-truck and trailer heading down the embankment towards her, off of Interstate 80.

The truck was heading westbound when it lost control and left the roadway.

"I thought we were going to hit," Shyann Poling told 21 News.

Poling said she saw the truck coming over the embankment towards her and hit the brakes, sliding towards the oncoming truck.

Luckily, no one was injured in the weather-related accident, and Poling was able to stop her vehicle in time.

"I thought I was going to meet God today," Poling added.

Pennsylvania State Police responded to the accident site, along with Hermitage EMS.

Interstate 80 has reduced its speed Thursday to 45 mph due to road conditions.
