Hometown Discounts, located at  located at 70 S. Leavitt Rd in Leavittsburg,  is a family-owned and operated business. They offer a variety of products from name-brand electronics and clothing to essential toiletries.

Their business model gives shoppers the chance to save money on top-quality items from major big box retailers.

"Everything we have is going to be brand new, but our prices are extremely discounted," Cassondra Urmson of Hometown Discounts told 21 News.

At the store, customers will see big box items from stores like Target, Amazon, WalMart Inc, Dollar General, and Kohl's. The products are sold at discounted prices ranging from 50% to 90% off.

As lifelong residents of Leavittsburg, the brother and sister duo Nick Wilson and Urmson, said their goal is to help local families stretch their budget.

"We had the opportunity to give this community prices that we can all afford during these times that are struggling," Urmson said.

Wilson told 21 News that their business receives truckloads of items for "pennies on the dollar."

Hometown is able to get these items at such low prices because they buy them as overstock from major retailers. This means products are new items that were either never sold or were returned.

The store will be closed Sundays and Mondays, but customers can check out everything they have in store from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
