Fire crews from multiple departments battled a fire at an apartment building in Niles.

The fire happened on the top unit of a building at the Eastwood Arms Apartments on Arms Boulevard in Niles Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m.

Niles Fire Chief John Stevens tells 21 News crews were quickly able to put out the fire, and no one was injured. The cause is unknown at this time, but Chief Stevens does not believe the fire to be suspicious.

Damage to the building appears to be minimal, but some debris from the building can be seen near a balcony.

Crews from the Niles Fire Department, as well as the Howland Fire Department responded to the scene. Chief Stevens also confirmed that the State Fire Marshal has been called to investigate further.
