Crews are on scene after a car crashed into a pole in Liberty Township Thursday afternoon.

A dispatcher with the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Trumbull County post tells 21 News the crash happened when one car crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Chestnut Ridge Road and Warner Road.

The dispatcher said only one person was in the car at the time who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  The dispatcher further said OSP is waiting on utility crews to get to the scene to stabilize the pole.

In the meantime, the road is blocked off in both directions between Chestnut Ridge Road and Tibbets Wick Road. Drivers traveling in this area will need to find an alternate route until the scene is cleared.

This crash does not appear to have caused any outages as First Energy's outage map shows no outages in Trumbull County at this time.

Crews with the Liberty Township and Hubbard Township Police Departments, as well as Trumbull County OSP responded to the scene.
