Find all Valley stores still open on Thanksgiving
Still need to make some last minute Thanksgiving dinner purchases? Here is a list of stores in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys that will still be open on Thanksgiving this year.
USA Today reports that most retail outlets like Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, etc. will be closed on Thanksgiving, but folks in the Valley can still go to Meijer, which will be open from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Furthermore, Today.com reports Giant Eagle stores will also be open until 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. However, the pharmacy will be closed.
Certain Save-A-Lot stores in the Valley will also be open on adjusted hours, but others will be closed for the day. Hours for open stores will vary by location. Valley locations that will remain open are:
- 653, Gypsy Lane in Youngstown (closes at 2 p.m.)
- 1715, South Raccoon Road in Austintown (closes at 2 p.m.)
- 223, Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman (closes at 2 p.m.)
- 1020, North Park Avenue in Warren (closes at 2 p.m.)
- 4329a, Mahoning Avenue in Warren (closes at 2 p.m.)
- 201 East Lincoln Way in Lisbon, (closes at 1 p.m.)
All of Sheetz's locations across the country will still be open on a 24 hour basis during Thanksgiving according to a press release from the company.
Today.com further reports that dollar stores such as Dollar General, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar will remain open on adjusted hours. Dollar Tree will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Family Dollar will be open until 6 p.m.
Dollar General's hours depend on the location. Closing times for Valley locations range from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. According to Dollar General's website, delivery and pickup services will not be available at any Valley location on Thanksgiving.
