Meadville Medical Center is announcing its plan to acquire the five physician practices from Steward Medical Group.

According to the media release, Meadville Medical Center expects the transaction to close by January 1.

The five practices with providers are:

  • Hubbard Medical Group, 880 West Liberty Street, Hubbard / Jean Wilson, DO
  • Brookfield Internal Medicine, 7264 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield / David D'Amore, MD, Melissa Moss, APRN
  • Sharon Family Practice, 62 Strawbridge Ave, Sharon / Gregory George, MD
  • Hermitage Family Practice & Internal Medicine, 2425 Garden Way, Suite 102, Hermitage / Daniel Bee, DO, Gregory Meisner, DO, Jay Porter, DO, Tonya Telesz, CRNP
  • Mercer Family Medicine Center, 551 Greenville Road, Mercer, PA 16137, Scott Morgan, MD, Stacey Joslin, PA

The release says patients should see no change to the operation other than a name change at each practice, new signage, and possibly new phone numbers.

Losing these providers would have a significant negative impact on the thousands of patients they treat," stated Senator Michele Brooks. "We are pleased with this transition as it keeps these excellent providers in our community and aligned with Sharon Regional Medical Center," said Robert Rogalski, President of Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Patients will be notified when the acquisition is complete.
