Man killed in crash on Route 62 in Mercer County identified
27-year-old Daniel Johnson of Jackson Center died at the scene, and another pedestrian was life-flighted to the hospital.
One person was killed and another person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Mercer County.
It happened on State Route 62 around 6:30 p.m. near the state police barracks.
Two people stopped along the road way to remove a dead deer from the road, when a car coming in the opposite direction hit them.
According to Mercer County PSP, 27-year-old Daniel Johnson of Jackson Center died at the scene, and another pedestrian was life-flighted to the hospital.
Route 62 is closed as both Pennsylvania State Police and a forensics team are on scene investigating.
