A 37-year-old man from Hadley, Pennsylvania in Mercer county is dead following a crash Monday afternoon on a stretch of Perry Highway.

A report from Pennsylvania State Police says Justin Williams was driving northbound on Perry Highway shortly after 2 p.m. when he crossed over the center lane into the path of a tractor trailer.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Richard Anderson of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, swerved to try to avoid a crash, but ended up on a sidewalk where Williams' vehicle rammed into his driver's side door.

Anderson had minor injuries, but Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The report does not indicate a reason for Williams crossing into the oncoming lane.
