Oak Hill Collaborative (OHC) will be hosting its first-ever E-Waste Collection Drive on Friday, November 22.

The collection drive will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at OAC's main branch location on Oak Hill Avenue.

Folks can drop off technology that no longer works or is unwanted. Once the drive ends, e-waste recycling company GreenBoard IT will collect all materials and recycle and dispose of them.

The drive acts as a way for OHC to encourage community members to do their part in safely recycling unwanted devices and prevent dangerous materials from ending up in landfills.

Items accepted at the drive include:

- Laptops

- PCs

- DVD players

- MP3 players

- Video game consoles

- Routers

- Hard drives

- Keyboards

- Wires

- Scanners

- LCD monitors

- Servers

- Cameras

Items like printers, TVs and CRT monitors will not be accepted.

In addition to the collection drive, OHC will offer a free public course on e-waste, how it is recycled and how refurbished technology can impact the environment.
