A student at East High School is in trouble after bringing a loaded gun to school on Tuesday.

The school district confirmed with 21 News that a student had a loaded gun inside the building, however, the gun "was not wielded at any time. East High School followed all emergency plan operations involving law enforcement."

The district said no one was injured in the incident, and an all-call was placed to parents Tuesday afternoon and guardians of students at East.

The district said in a written statement, "Appropriate action will be taken according to district policy, as any incident involving a weapon is taken seriously."
