Brookfield man running 'used tire disposal' business cited for dumping them in Youngstown
A Brookfield man is accused of getting paid to to dispose of 35 used tires, then was caught on camera dumping them on Youngstown’s Eastside.
The tire dumping incident was recorded on surveillance cameras at Nelson Avenue and Jacobs Road on Tuesday by street department workers who reported the find to city code enforcement officials.
Police caught up with 59-year-old Mark Domascieno who was driving the truck believed to have brought the tires from a Sharon, Pennsylvania business, who paid Domascieno $168 to dispose of the tires.
Domascieno told police he was getting rid of the tires as a favor to a friend, claiming someone he knows told him that the City of Youngstown would pick up the tires.
The owner that paid for the tire disposal told police he had no idea what Domascieno was going to do with the tires.
Domascieno has been issued a summons to appear in municipal court on Friday to answer a misdemeanor citation for littering.
Police also towed Domascieno’s truck, saying it is part of the investigation.
